What does psychological therapy for children involve?
The Psychologist supports children at different stages of their development. Through an appropriate diagnosis and therapy plan, the Psychologist is able to work with children on a variety of difficulties. We support children both within the intellectual norm and children outside of it. We work individually with children who have a diagnosis (Autism Spectrum, Selective Mutism, ADHD), but we also support children who are in temporary trouble - moving to a new place, parents divorcing, trouble with peers, loneliness and children with phobias of various kinds.
When you need psychological therapy in a child ?
Children who already have a diagnosis are invited to individual therapy, but also if parents observe developmental problems in their children.
The psychologist is able to support children with: anxiety disorders, social phobia, but also works therapeutically with children:
- on the Autism Spectrum, Asperger's Syndrome,
- ADHD,
- Selective Mutism,
- and other diagnosed disorders.
What it looks like psychological therapy for children?
The child's meetings with the Psychologist are usually cyclical. They are based on establishing trust between the child and the Professional, who, depending on the needs, talks to the child through games and activities. The child feels very safe and comfortable during the sessions, the Professional ensures the ethics of the meeting and full confidentiality.

How long does the whole therapy take?

How to prepare for a visit?
Therapy visits with the Psychologist always precede the first diagnostic visits - one to which the parents themselves are invited and another with the child. Following these visits, an individualised therapeutic plan is established for the child. It is advisable to bring all medical and therapeutic records to the first visit.
