We invite you to read an article about neurotactic therapy, which is extremely effective in working with children with developmental problems. We will introduce you to what Dr. Masgutova's therapy is based on and the impact it has on a child's emotions.

What is neurotactic therapy by Dr Svetlana Masgutova and what does it involve?

🔹Neurotactile therapy is a type of massage that stimulates and prepares the skin receptors for the correct reception of sensory stimuli from the environment and the activation of the nervous system.

Remember that the skin is the most basic sensory organ in our bodies.

🔹 Dr Masgutova's therapy increases body awareness and regulates skin disorders in the perception of tactile sensations.

🔹 It also regulates the brain's response to information from the skin and muscles.

🔹 Neurotactic therapy is a concept based on research and reports by scientists that link human behaviour to processes in the brain.

🔹This type of therapy combines neurology, sensory integration and psychology.

Without doubt, it can be said that nuerotactic therapy looks holistically at the child's development and experience.

The aims of neurotactic therapy, in particular, are:

  • effective silencing,
  • improving awareness of body sensation and the perception of tactile stimuli from the environment,
  • activating sensory integration mechanisms,
  • optimising the functioning of the nervous system,
  • regulation of muscle tone,
  • improving manual functions.

Can neurotactic therapy be combined with other methods?

Of course, as much as possible. 👍

Sometimes it is the primary technique for holistic therapy, but it can also be used supportively with other therapies, e.g. sensory integration, postural therapy, speech therapy, psychological therapy or Ndt Bobath rehabilitation. The most important thing is that it is individually selected and that it fits into the patient's therapeutic programme.

What does neurotactic therapy look like in practice?

For a neurotactic therapy massage to have the right effect, the child must trust the therapist 🙂 .

The massage is performed very gently and is completely comfortable and pleasant, yet strong enough to stimulate the relevant receptors. Different parts of the body are massaged: arms, legs, hands, feet, torso and head. The hand pressure during the massage is light, medium or deep, depending on the effect the therapist wants to achieve and adapted to the age of the patient.

👉💡 Tactile system stimulation is used as a stand-alone therapy or as a complement to other therapeutic methods. It is a concept that supports the development of children with various types of neurological disorders or disorders of sensory integration processes.

For patients, at what age does neurotactic therapy apply?

Dr Svetlana Masgutova's therapy is applicable to people of all ages, whether infants, older children or adults. The therapist adapts the type of massage and hand pressure to the patient's age and needs.

 Indications for tactile therapy:

🔹 Emotional instability,

🔹 Aggressive behaviour,

🔹 Children on the autism spectrum,

🔹tudying difficulties,

🔹Psychoactive disorder (ADD, ADHD),

🔹problems with concentration,

🔹Hypersensitivity or sub-sensitivity to touch,

🔹Genetic syndromes,

🔹 Speech disorders,

🔹 Delayed psychomotor and mental development,

🔹Dysfunction of body sensation in space,

🔹 Cerebral palsy.

📣 Tactile therapy can be used prophylactically, e.g. for children in the so-called perinatal risk group. The aim is to prevent the occurrence of developmental abnormalities in the future.

We are pleased to announce that another of our therapists has increased her qualifications by acquiring the knowledge and authorisation to perform neurotactic therapy. Congratulations to Izabela Przygoda.

We invite you to make appointments with Iza Przygoda, Aneta Szyszka and Klaudia Dąbrowska - these are qualified specialists who are certified and experienced in working with the neurotactic method.
