What does neurological therapy involve?
Neurological therapy consists of improving and eliminating difficulties/disorders diagnosed in the child. The active participation of the parent/guardian is very important in the therapy process. During each class the therapist provides detailed instructions for practising at home.
When neurological therapy?
It is worth seeing a neurologist if you observe the following symptoms in your child:
- lack of a sucking reflex/other phasic/oral reflex, or a weak or too intense reaction to a stimulus activating it,
- refusing to take food,
- difficulty sucking, biting, chewing and swallowing (choking),
- aversion to hard foods (or with variable consistency),
- excessive salivation,
- permanently parted lips, which may be related to mandibular flaccidity with respiratory dysfunction or abnormal muscle tone,
- lack of understanding of instructions,
- abnormalities in speech development.
A neurological consultation is also advisable for children born prematurely, after hypoxia during birth, with low birth weight and whenever parents are concerned about their child's delayed neurological or speech therapy development.

The therapy has an individually tailored programme for each child. The therapy is based on playing with the child. interesting accessories and speech therapy toys are used during the classes.
