Hi, my name is Sylwia Hojda

Sylwia Dziekańska
Sylwia Hojda
Psychologist

I am a psychologist, or in simpler terms for children: a lady "questioner" to whom you can entrust your innermost thoughts.

When working with another person, especially the 'lesser' age, it is important to me to have a good relationship, based on respect, openness and a sense of security.

I support children, young people and their carers with the various difficulties they face. Together we discover the skills they already have, but I also show them appropriate tools for coping with adversity.

I invite you to join me:

CHILDREN 2-10 years when:

  • Support is needed in adaptation in nursery, kindergarten, schoolnew place of residence
  • The care facility reports the child's difficulties in various areas of daily challenges
  • Parent/carer has observations that concern him/her
  • The child is often afraid
  • Child finds it difficult to recognise and regulate own emotions
  • The child does not believe in himself
  • Parents split up, divorce
  • When a child finds it difficult to find social relationships with other children and adults, to make and keep friends
  • Z diagnosis of ADHD

NASTOLATES 11- 17 years who:

  • They feel anxiety
  • Make self-harm
  • They do not feel their worth
  • Have a depressed mood
  • Experiencing loss in relationships: divorce of parents, break-ups with friends, boyfriend/girlfriend, death of a loved one

Parents/Guardians who:

  • They need to be heard from the challenges of their role as caregivers to their children
  • They received a diagnosis of the child (ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder and others) and would like to receive support and psycho-education
  • They want to prepare themselves and their child for a new challenge like going to nursery, kindergarten or school.
  • They need psychological first aid (loss of job, loss of relationship - divorce, break-up, death, end of friendship)

She has perfected her craft by learning from children and young people in her daily work with them, as well as through various workshops and courses run by professionals in the field of psychology and psychotherapy.

In my work I rely on cognitive-behavioural approach, which gives interesting tools, skills to deal with difficulties.

During consultations and observations, she draws on her experience as a Sensory Integration TherapistI therefore look at the problems reported from different perspectives.
